报告人简介：

Prof. Marcin Adamiak, DSc, PhD, Eng., is an Associate Professor of Materials Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology and Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (since 2024). He obtained his PhD in materials engineering in 1997 and his DSc (habilitation) in 2013 from the same institution. His research expertise lies in materials engineering, with a particular focus on composite materials, advanced manufacturing and processing technologies, biomaterials, and surface engineering. He has extensive experience in academicindustrial collaboration, including participation in the Green Aircraft Interiors project carried out with Boeing Research and Technology Europe during an industrial internship at Jeppesen Poland (a Boeing Company).

Prof. Adamiak has completed numerous international research and industrial internships in Europe and beyond and has held several leadership positions, including Head of the Department of Biomedical Materials Engineering, Deputy Director of the Institute of Engineering and Biomedical Materials, and Head of the Materials Research Laboratory (since 2019).

He is the author or co-author of more than 190 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. His experience in managing research teams, laboratories, and academic units underpins his ability to lead and deliver complex research projects successfully.
