报告人简介：卢春生，1993年获中国科学院力学研究所固体力学专业博士学位（导师：白以龙院士），现为澳大利亚科廷大学副教授。曾先后工作于中国科学院力学研究所，日本东北大学、东京大学，新西兰维多利亚大学，奥地利莱奥本大学，美国布朗大学，香港城市大学，澳大利亚悉尼大学等国内外研究机构和高校。已在Physical Review Letters, Nano Letters, Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, Journal of Geophysical Research, Applied Physics Letters, Acta Materialia等刊物发表论文90多篇，论文被引用1300多次。并于2008年及2012年获得国家杰出青年基金（B类）和湖南省“海外名师”项目资助。
报告简介：I’ll brief introduce our relevant research works in statistical modelling of damage and fracture in brittle materials. A few case studies will be given, including damage evolution-induced catastrophe, fractals in fracture, scaling and size effects of strength, fracture precursors and lifetime prediction, defect engineering in semiconductor nanoceramics, and barrier behavior in polymer nanocomposites.
